Conab Estimates 2024/25 Brazil Soy at 166.14 mt, Corn at 119.81 mt

In their November Crop Report, Conab slightly increased their production estimates for the 2024/25 Brazilian soybean and corn production.
Brazil's soybean production is now estimated at 166.14 million tons, which is up 90,000 tons from last month and up 18.43 million tons or 12.5% from last year. The 2024/25 soybean acreage is estimated at 47.35 million hectares (116.9 million acres), which represents an increase of 2.6% compared to last year. The 2024/25 soybean yield is estimated at 3,508 kg/ha (52.2 bu/ac) up 9.6% compared to last year.
Total corn production in 2024/25 is estimated at 119.81 million tons, which is up 80,000 tons from last month and up 4.12 million tons or 3.6% from last year.
Brazil's first corn crop is estimated at 22.79 million tons with the safrinha crop estimated at 94.63 million and the third crop estimated at 2.38 million. Safrinha corn continues to represent a greater share of Brazil's corn production. Currently, the safrinha crop represents 79% of Brazil's total corn production with the first crop representing 19% and the third crop representing 2%.
